The Windy City

Hi loves,
finally I am showing you the last post of my amazing road trip and it is about the windy city Chicago. This time I also want to show you my outfit as well as give you some tips for cool free-time activities.  So I hope you

will enjoy reading this post.

                                                                        The City

Chicago is a pretty big city but if you choose a hotel in downtown it will be easy to walk everywhere. We stayed at the Radisson Blu and I would recommend this hotel to all of you since it was beautiful, the people there were very friendly and helpful and it was right in the middle of the downtown area. From there we walked to the Millennium Park where you can get an sneak peek of Chicago’s great architecture. At this park there is the Cloud Gate which actually looks like a huge, shiny Jelly Bean and when you are lucky like I was you can watch a free orchestra concert at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion, the center of the park. Afterwards we went to the Pier from where you have a beautiful look at the skyline of the windy city.

The Chicago Cubs Baseball team are as famous as the Boston Red Sox or the New York Yankees. If you get the chance, go to a game, the atmosphere is amazing even though I had a little trouble sometimes to understand the Baseball rules. In the end it actually doesn’t matter if you understand the rules because you can just have a great time with you friends drinking beer, chatting and eating hot dogs. A visit at the Wrigley Field is definitely worth it. We got our tickets very spontaneously and were very happy with them.

 The Outfit

Although it was a cloudy day in Chicago, the air was still humid so I decided to wear the Michael Kors dress I bought at the outlet in California. As you can probably imagine, I couldn’t wait wearing the denim dress. I combined it with an airy Anthropologie blouse and beige J.Crew Slippers. I felt totally comfortable in this outfit for the whole day, went sightseeing and to the Baseball game you can see on the pictures. So loves, even if you are exploring a new city, it doesn’t mean you have to wear pants and sport shoes. With this outfit I would like to show you that it also works with a dress 🙂
This was the last post from my road trip and I have to say it was an amazing time and I don’t want to miss any minute of it. If you ever get the chance to do a road trip through the South of the United States, I hope my tips can help you a little bit :-*
